The Bachelor

Lyndsey and I are currently watching ‘The Bachelor’… and you may be wondering why two lesbians are watching this show, but it’s sort of like road kill… once it’s on the TV, you can’t help but look.   Now if you’ve ever seen the show, you know that all those “potential wives” in one house generally turns into a cat fight.  But this season, all I have to say is MICHELLE.  PSYCHOOOOO!!!!  Constantly threatening to leave, borderline personality-like moods, and just plain scary!  I’m so glad Jake asked her to leave.  Poor guy.  It’s hard to handle one woman, let alone 10!

  1. Hi Tracey,

I really loved your book!! your should have a a part two. My name is Rick and I’m co owner with Don Capellani from salon ~ Capellani. He brought your book home and i read it in two days. I went to a catholic school for eight years and was completely brainwashed by there teaching. I knew I was gay at a very young age. I remember we had question box and one of the questions was “is it a sin to be gay” (it wasn’t from me). The priest replied, it’s not a sin to be gay just as long as you don’t practice your homosexuality. I wondered, how can your not practice who you are. Why can hetorals practice being straight. Went to a public high school. I’m a decent looking guy and had lots of girls attractive to me. Finally in Junior year I had to pick a girl so people won’t get suspious. When I was a freshmen guys asked if I was still a virgin, I didn’t even know what the was. I was shocked kids had sex at 14 years old!! That’s how naive I was.

I had to come to terms about what was taught and what I truly believe. I now have my “own” religion. I try to be a good person and believe that god loves me for who I am. It definetly isn’t chosen as why would one want to put themselves through all the misery of being gay through teen years. I’ve tried once to have sex with a girl but failed to perform, that’s when the rumors started. I had my first sexually experience at 19 and it wasn’t so much the physical satisfaction as it was to finally be held by another man and understood. Afterwards I felt tremendously guilty. The guilt lasted for a couple years. Your lucky to have found someone. Its so much easier for women than men. I still find myself loving the kissing and cuddling part so much because I want to be needed, yes the sex is great too, but I love holding a man. I’ve had several flings and once it gets serious I break it off so I wont be hurt. Guess I’m rambling….would love to meet you one day.

The most memorable part of your book is when you told your father that homosexuality is not mentioned in the new testament….and that women are suppose to eat pork and where veils…..also that Jesus preaches always preaches love….and that should be for everyone. I believe he died for our sins and accept him as our savior. Thanks for such a inspirational novel. I’m sure it helped lots of people!!
